It was a necessity to me It may be too soon to review, I will update if things change. I bought this today (even though I was leary with all the bad reviews). It was a necessity to me as I replaced my mid-2011 iMac with a new one which of course, does not have the CD/DVD drive built in like my prior one did. And with my new car no longer having a CD slot, I had to get something. I imported 2 CDs and the first one went into the slot flawlessly, copied all songs the same as the original. The 2nd CD had a bit of a hard time going into the slot, it was as if it was being rejected. Finally it accepted it, and copied as with the first one. I have to admit that once in awhile I had a similar problem with my original iMac so I'm hoping that this is the case with this one. I wanted to get an Apple product, it will go back if I have serious problems. Several people commented that the Apple logo goes on the bottom, to me it was fairly obvious as the design seems it would be the base, and not on the top. As for the eject, really easy as the eject symbol appears after it is downloaded, rather than having to go to the iTunes menu to find the eject command.
